Please read these terms before ordering. By using this website and placing an order, you accept them.

Who we are

Manteaux is a business operated by Mandy Butcher as a sole trader.

Manteaux, PO Box 436, Horley, Surrey, RH6 6AA mandy@manteaux.co.uk · 01293 863555 VAT registration number: 678 7610 84

Price and ordering

The price payable is the price shown on the product page at the time of your order. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Postage is shown separately, and the full total including postage is shown to you before you confirm your order.

When you place an order you will receive an email confirming we have received it. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed between us, when we email you to confirm your goods have been dispatched.

If a price is wrong or an item turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you to offer you the correct price, an alternative, or a full refund.

Our garments

Our garments are made from natural fabrics including Harris Tweed, Herringbone wool, and wool and cashmere. Slight variations in weave, colour and texture are part of the character of natural cloth and are not faults.

Photographs are a representation of the garment. Colours can look different from screen to screen, so we cannot guarantee your display shows the exact shade. Please check the size and measurement details in the product description before ordering.

Payment

Payment is taken at the point of order through PayPal, using either a PayPal account or a debit or credit card.

When you order, you confirm that the details you give us are true and accurate, and that you are the authorised holder of the payment account used.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch within 2 working days. We attend a number of county shows through the year, so occasionally there may be a short delay — we will let you know if so. In any case we will deliver within 30 days of your order unless we agree otherwise with you.

Orders are sent within UK mainland by Royal Mail and need to be signed for. Standard postage is £5.99. For larger orders a courier may be more suitable, and we will contact you to agree this and any extra cost before dispatching.

We deliver to the address you gave us at the time of ordering unless you tell us otherwise before dispatch. If you arrange a change of address directly with the courier, we cannot be responsible for the delivery.

If nobody is available to take delivery, Royal Mail will leave a card explaining how to rearrange delivery or collect from your local depot. If the parcel is not collected and comes back to us, we will refund you for the goods and the original postage. If you still want the order, we will ask you to pay the postage again before we send it out.

Goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered, and yours to own once we have been paid in full.

Fuller detail is in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

Cancelling your order

You can cancel at any time before dispatch — just contact us with your order number and we will refund you in full.

Because you are buying online, you also have a legal right to change your mind after delivery. You have 14 days from receiving your goods to tell us in writing that you wish to cancel, and a further 14 days to send them back. This applies to everything we sell, including sale items.

You pay the return postage. We refund the price of the goods plus the standard postage you paid, within 14 days of getting the goods back or of you showing us they have been sent. We may reduce a refund if a garment has been worn or handled beyond simply trying it on, or comes back without its tags.

Please send returns to Manteaux, PO Box 436, Horley, Surrey, RH6 6AA, with your name and order number inside the parcel. We recommend a tracked service, as the goods are your responsibility until they reach us. A model cancellation form is available on request, but you do not have to use one — any clear written statement will do.

Full detail is in our Returns and Refunds Policy.

Faulty or damaged goods

If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as you can and send a photograph if you are able to. Within 30 days of delivery you can reject the goods and have a full refund. After that we will repair or replace them, and if we cannot, we will refund you.

We pay the return postage on faulty goods, so please get in touch before sending anything back.

Missing or incorrect items

Every order is checked before it is sent. If anything is missing or incorrect, please let us know within 14 days of receiving your order so we can put it right quickly.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for any loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not limit our liability where the law does not allow us to, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Our garments are sold for personal use. If you use them for a business purpose, we are not liable for loss of profit or business.

We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our control, such as postal strikes or severe weather, but we will contact you and keep any delay as short as we can.

Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. Your name, address, phone number and email are passed to Royal Mail or our courier so that they can deliver your order, and for no other purpose.

Complaints

If something is not right, please contact us at mandy@manteaux.co.uk or on 01293 863555 and we will do our best to sort it out.
